Brooke Henderson Gears Up for Next Week’s Amundi Evian Championship, Eyeing Another Win After 2022 Victory and 2023 Runner-Up Finish
Brooke Henderson returns to France next week and the scene of two of her many career highlights. Canada’s golfing superstar tees it up in The Amundi Evian Championship on the Evian Resort Golf Club from July 11-14 in Evian-les-Bains, France. Henderson won the LPGA Major Tournament in 2022 and the $1 million first-place money. In 2023, she tried to track down eventual champion Celine Boutier of France.
She ended up six-shots back of Boutier and settled for a stellar solo second finish and winning $585,967. The Smiths Falls, ON, native posted scintillating scores of 64, 64, 68 and hung on with a final round 71 to win in 2022 by one shot over Sophie Schubert of the U.S. and two strokes over a group of five players.
Henderson’s victory was her first at Evian. Accompanied by her sister, Brittany, the 24-year-old, won her second major title when she made a birdie on hole 18.
Canada’s winningest professional golfer (men included) with 13 titles goes into the tournament featuring a Stats Line of winning $964,773 so far in 2024, an average driving distance of 263.50 yards, a scoring average of 70.65, she has posted 30 rounds under par, owns a driving accuracy average of 72.51% and strokes an average of 29.98 putts per round.
