Elvis Costello to perform in a play based on the movie “Face In The Crowd”

Elvis Costello has scored a new play, A Face in the Crowd, with previews starting on September 10th at the Young Vic Theatre in London with the premiere on the 17th. Based on the 1957 movie of the same name that starred Andy Griffith, Walter Matthau and Patricia Neal, it will run through November 9th. Costello has been performing some of the songs in concert since 2015. A reading for the show took place in 2016 in New York.
