Jordan Spieth enjoys some well-deserved rest as US Open champion cruises The Bahamas with sweetheart Annie Verret

The 21-year-old world No. 2 was reunited with his long-term partner, Annie Verret, after she had missed the tournament at Chambers Bay earlier that month. Spieth’s victory at the US Open marked his second major championship. He had carded a one-under 69 in the final round, finishing with a total of 275 (-5) and winning the competition by one stroke ahead of Dustin Johnson and Louis Oosthuizen.

Following that stunning performance, Spieth might have been forgiven for taking some downtime sooner, but the youngster from Texas stayed true to his word on an eight-month-old promise.

With the 72nd hole drama over and done with, he quickly moved on to play a round of golf with a fan who had bought the opportunity to do so at a charity event hosted by Spieth’s own foundation.

The high bidder was Gregg Ontiveros, CEO of Group O, a marketing firm in Illinois.

Having revisited this remarkable chapter in Spieth’s career, it’s fascinating to observe his journey since then. His dedication to the sport and charitable endeavors has only strengthened over the years. Recently, Spieth has continued to make strides in his professional golf career, showcasing consistent performances and maintaining a strong presence on the global stage.

From his early triumphs to his more recent achievements, Spieth has evolved into a golfing sensation, earning accolades and admiration from fans worldwide. His commitment to philanthropy has also flourished, with ongoing initiatives through the Spieth Foundation making a positive impact on various communities.
