Heartbreak! Austin Butler just debuted a super short buzzcut
How would I describe heartbreak? A question I know the answer to all too well… Your housemate eating your takeaway leftovers without asking; missing the last train of the night – and by seconds; going into an unarranged overdraft [insert: trauma flashbacks]; but above all, Austin Butler shaving his entire head of luscious hair off. My main organ has not been broken but shattered into a million tiny pieces. *Gently wipes tear*
Earlier this week [December 9, 2024], Austin attended this year’s SFFILM Awards and while he looked dapper wearing a suit and tie, what had us in shock was his new hairstyle. As shown in the red carpet picture below, the Masters of the Air actor has cut off his once long flowing locks and replaced them with an almost skin-head buzzcut.
He’s gone from looking like Elvis to looking like Channing Tatum! Both of which, may I say, are gorgeous in their own right. Having said all that, this actually isn’t the first time we’ve seen Austin with nil hair. Remember his Dune 2 appearance from earlier this year? Now that was a sight to behold.
So, considering his previous look came in light of his role as Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, we’re led to believe that this buzzcut comes to us in preparation for an upcoming acting role. That, or Austin just decided to start afresh for 2025.Keep your eyes peeled, folks. We may have another method acting situ on our hands…
