Emma Raducanu mocks newspapers over bus story and Porsche rumors
Emma Raducanu hit back at the reports that she took a bus ride after Porsche took away her supercar and it is clear that the British tennis star found the entire story as laughable.
Earlier this month, it was published by The Daily Mail that the 21-year-old’s 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet was no longer in her garage after the luxurious German carmaker decided to take it away. At the time, it was explained that Porsche tends to do that when they feel they are not getting their money’s worth from an ambassador.
Then over the weekend, a story was published claiming that Raducanu was spotted on a bus. Also, a picture of the 2021 US Open champion was included.
And the former world No. 10 posted that picture on her Instagram Story – and while she said nothing – the laughing and newspaper emojis said it all.
Was Raducanu’s Porsche taken away?
Shortly after the rumors began to swirl around that she lost one of her supercars, the 21-year-old took a selfie inside a Porsche and captioned the post: “Like I vanished, I reappeared.” It was clearly her response to the reports made in the newspapers.
Meanwhile, the British tennis star is currently sidelined and still recovering from a ligament injury. When announcing her withdrawal from this week’s Hong Kong Open, she indicated that she would at least be ready for the Billie Jean King Cup Finals that starts on November 13 in Malaga.
“Hellooo, I’m sorry to say that I will not be able to play in Hong Kong next week. Whilst my foot is making good progress, I need a little more time before I am match fit. I hope to be able to come back and play this tournament in the future! In the meantime, I am doing what I can to be ready for BJKC,” Raducanu wrote on X last week.
