Simone Biles Makes A Big Christmas Sacrifice As She Puts Jonathan Owens’s Career First

Olympic gold medallist gymnast Simone Biles often takes to social media to hype up her husband Jonathan Owens, who’s the safety for Chicago Bears. Biles has been a consistent presence at Chicago games since completing her Gold Over America tour and often visits her husband’s matches in customised fits. Although it seems Biles is spending some quality time with her husband amid a busy NFL season, the gymnast has had to make some sacrifices this year.

Simone Biles Is Not Doing Christmas This Year; Here’s How She Will Ring In The Festivities

Biles is from Houston and shares a dreamy waterfront mansion with Owens but has not been able to spend Christmas at home with her family and friends as she is in Chicago. In a recent interview, she revealed she will not do a big Christmas this year as Owens has to report to his hotel for a big game.

“Honestly, just the two of us. Nothing crazy. We’re going on vacations next year, so we kind of didn’t even do a Christmas this year. Honestly, just relaxing. And then we have to come back downtown to report to the hotel so we’ll be with the team,” Biles shared.

Despite sacrificing festivities this year, Biles seems to be having a good time with her athlete husband. Biles also talked about the couple’s gameday routines and how they work out their sleeping schedules since NFL players are generally not allowed to share a room with their significant other the night before a game.

“Well, usually you’re not allowed to be with him the night before, so we sleep separately in the hotel. And then after that, he usually comes up, gives me a kiss goodbye. So, it’s very… He’s so chill. He’s relaxed. And that’s also his personality. Not as stressed as me,” she said.

The gymnast has been making headlines for her customised fits which she wears on the sidelines of her husband’s matches. Her ensembles often include a personal nod to Owens, like his jersey number or name.

For the Bears’ game against the Detroit Lions on December 22, Simone wore a look featuring a sparkly “36” on her black shirt, paired with a Prada bucket hat and Prada ski boots.

And now Simone has hinted at an even bigger surprise for the upcoming game against the Seattle Seahawks on December 27 at the Soldier Field stadium. “My favorite one so far is one that I have at home, and I’m wearing it to Thursday’s game,” Biles shared.
