Nelly Korda: It’s hard to reminisce about what has happened
Nelly Korda was brilliant this year, but that’s something we’re used to from her. In many tournaments this year, the 26-year-old American was an enigma for her opponents, mostly in the first part of the season. The second part of the season was less successful for her, but that does not change the fact that Nelly remained written in golden letters in the history of women’s golf. In an interview with the media, the popular golfer stressed that it is difficult for her to stay in the present, given that she always looks to the future and the challenges that follow.
“Golf and sports, it’s so funny, you’re kind of always looking at what’s next,” said Korda, as quoted by Golfweek.
“It’s hard to reminisce about what has happened because you’re always trying to improve on what you want to do.”
Nelly Korda: I always look at as a clean slate, and I’m hungry for more
The biggest star of women’s golf is aware that she now has a period of rest, but despite that, her focus is still on golf. Although Korda tries to ignore the sport during the break, it is difficult for her to take her focus off the sport. The American confirmed that she is proud of the achievements she has made, but her focus is already on the next year. Nelly is hungry for success; there is no doubt about it.
“But when you get a little bit of an offseason, you get a little time away; sometimes I catch myself watching highlights, but most of the time I just try not to think about golf, and then have a fresh mind and see where, you know, next year takes me. I don’t try to, you know, compare my seasons. It’s very easy to do that. I’m super proud of myself and my entire team of what we accomplished this year and what we went through, but next year I always look at as a clean slate, and I’m hungry for more.” – she concluded.
