‘Husband Helping Me Get Abs’: Lydia Ko’s Grueling Workout Routine Amid LPGA Break Comes to Light

How would you like your ‘break,’ sir? Just ask the LPGA pros who may be off duty but still work out to get fit. With Lydia Ko’s recent story update on Instagram, it seems the golfer is already gearing up for the next season.
Sure, foam rollers weren’t exactly designed for ab workouts, but hey, who’s questioning the results when it’s Lydia Ko powering through her routine? But wait, it is not just Ko —Hull and Inci Mehmet are also in the mix, bringing their fitness game to the table.

LPGA pros buckle up with their A-game to fitness as Lydia Ko takes it to the next level
The LPGA pros aren’t just stopping at core strength; they’re taking their workouts to the next level. Hull and Mehmet recently shared a post on Instagram where they dove into ice-cold water. Yes, in December! The caption read, “There are two kinds of people in this world… ,” and it couldn’t be more spot-on. For some context, Mehmet had to sing a Christmas jingle just to distract herself from the freezing water, while Hull looked unbothered.

So, why on earth would anyone do this? It may seem a little wild at first, but it’s actually part of ice bath therapy. The idea is to sit in cold water (around 50-59°F or 10-15°C) to help with muscle soreness, reduce inflammation, and speed up recovery after tough workouts. And we know Hull’s all about staying fit, so it makes sense! The cold causes blood vessels to shrink, reducing swelling and flushing out waste from your muscles. Then, as your body warms up, fresh blood and nutrients flow in to help everything heal faster.

It’s pretty common among athletes—and, as we saw with Ko’s workout routine, these ladies know how to keep their fitness game strong, no matter the season.
