WATCH: Brooke Henderson eagles impressive shot from bunker at Maybank Championship
Brooke Henderson is playing at the Maybank Championship this week and the LPGA phenom shot an eagle from a sand bunker in the fourth round. LPGA’s X page uploaded the video of her shot on October 27 and Henderson fired a hole-in-one on the par-5 hole 3.
Henderson played only five holes in the fourth round and dropped birdies on the fourth and fifth holes. The World No. 23 shot six birdies on the opening to finish at 69. She had three birdies in the second round to land at 73 and dropped seven birdies in the third round to finish at 66.

Her total score on the Maybank Championship leaderboard is 12 under and she is currently sitting at T9. She is 10 shots behind the leader, Ruoning Yin, who’s sitting atop the Maybank Championship leaderboard with 22 under.
Ruoning Yin shared how she has been enjoying playing at the LPGA event in a press conference on October 26 ( via ASAP Sports).
“I think it’s really fun to play. You just need to — every shot just need to be at the right spot. If you mess up, you messed up and it’s going to be a lot penalty as well. I think overall this course suits me a lot,” Ruoning Yin said.
The final round of the Maybank Championship is taking place on Sunday and the winner of the Kuala Lumpur-based event will receive $450,000 from the $3 million prize pool.
