“My headphones and my phone,” is what Holger Rune had to mention when asked about the things that he cannot travel without. The 2024 season turned out to be a stage for the emergence of young tennis stars. Carlos Alcaraz solidified his portfolio by adding two more grand slam titles (Wimbledon and French Open) to his name. Being worthy in all senses, the Danish tennis player was seen surrounded by a stack of books covered in red, the catch being that it wasn’t a library but his own desk. At such a young age where players find themselves engaged in the moments of learning, the 21-year-old decided to influence fans with two books written by himself.

“This book gives a picture of my world from the time when I was a junior. It’s not really an autobiography, I’ll wait until I’ve won a Grand Slam (laughs),” he said in an interview, revealing the whole agenda behind publishing his thoughts compiled in two adorable books. While he has already started rolling out the initial copies, the tennis star mentioned that he was “Super proud” of his new books.
This update emerged after his initial round defeat against Brandon Nakashima at the US Open. There was still time for further tournaments to be commenced, and the young pro decided to use the moments productively. “Next up Denmark for my book releases and then the Asian swing,” he captioned another one of his Instagram posts, announcing the schedule for the rest of the season.
The Dane has always been a fan of Roger Federer and it wouldn’t be vague to draw connections of book writing from the Swiss tennis pro’s story. It was in the same month that the legend stepped forward to let fans know about his new visual biography which will be rolled out by the name of “Federer”. As the book fever started to spread all over the tennis community, other big names decided to lift a pen.

Venus Williams has always been vocal about the thoughts in her mind. The fans also appreciated it all along as her journey was full of hardships and strives. “Was inspired by my own journey and the lessons I’ve learned both on and off the court. I wanted to create something that could empower others to embrace their own challenges, set ambitious goals, and find fulfillment in the process,” she said, in an interview with Elle. Her sister Serena and many other renowned names in the fashion and business industry gave shoutouts to her attempt to be an author and therefore she made headlines because of it.
This added one more publication to the library of books written by tennis players. Fans, who love to cherish each move by their favorite tennis stars, can only look to have fresh copies in their hands to explore how it feels like being a pro and paving the way across a competitive world.
