LPGA’s Brooke Henderson will be sporting Ottawa Senators’ colours

Brooke Henderson will be wearing the colours of her hometown NHL team next season when she strolls down the fairways on the LPGA Tour. The Ottawa Senators announced Wednesday they’ve reached a multi-year partnership agreement with the Smiths Falls golfer. The club’s logo will be featured on her towels and water bottles, plus she’ll wear the Senators’ colours one day a tournament with her sister, Brittany, who serves as her caddie.

Henderson, a former hockey player and a Senators fan, couldn’t be happier.
“I’m super excited to team up and partner with the Senators. It’s such a cool opportunity. Growing up, I played hockey, I watched hockey and I always cheered for the Sens, so it feels like a perfect fit,” said Henderson. “I’m very proud to do it and show everybody who I’m cheering for and where my love is.”

Henderson, 26, is the most successful Canadian golfer in major professional tour history. She has 13 LPGA tour wins, including major titles at the 2016 Women’s PGA Championship and the 2022 Evian Championship.

“That’s great. She’s always been an Ottawa fan. Our values align really well with her,” said Senators president and CEO Cyril Leeder. “She’s the quintessential Canadian athlete, she happens to be female, which is important because we’re going to have a women in sport night this year.

“We thought the partnership with Brooke was a natural way to kick that off. We’ll hopefully have her here for a team event and at least one game.”
