“I Feel Bad”: Lydia Ko Reveals Sacrifices Her Billionaire Husband Jun Chung Made for Her

It’s wonderful to have a supportive partner by your side, and Lydia Ko is fortunate to have just that. Her billionaire husband, Jun Chung, is always there for her in times of need. However, his support for Ko goes beyond just being there—he’s made sacrifices as well, and the golfer recently talked about it.

Ko finished her second round with a total of 3-under-par. Following her round, the 27-year-old joined the press conference and was asked about her husband as he is here this week and also has some interest in golf. Ko shared that Chung is currently playing at Dumbarnie Links and also played at Kingsbarns on Monday in the rain. She was glad that her husband was getting to experience this and went on to talk about the sacrifices he had made for her.

“I feel bad because he’s having to wake up at 4:00 a.m. with me this morning. Even if I am the most supportive wife when it comes to his work, I’m probably never going to wake up at 4:00 a.m. for him for his job. I’m very thankful that he’s taking a step back and doing things on my time, and I know that’s not easy, so I’m glad that he’s actually getting to enjoy it,” said Lydia Ko, revealing how Chung sacrificed his sleep just because his wife is playing at the last major, which she might not have been able to do for his husband’s job.

The golfer also talked about her husband’s performance and excitement and further added “He made a birdie at Kingsbarns, so we’re hoping for more of that today. But he loves things and he hit the tour at the R&A museum yesterday and he was super excited about it.”

Jun Chung is the son of the vice-chairman and CEO of the prominent Hyundai Card. His family’s net worth is $14.8 billion. He even helped Ko have a better relationship with golf as he is always there to support her even after a bad round. She has said in the past that she is very grateful to have him in her life. Their love story makes their relationship even better.

How did Lydia Ko and Jun Chung make their relationship official?
We usually see a guy proposing to a girl in today’s world, however, things are completely different for Lydia Ko and her husband. The couple first met through mutual friends in October 2020 on a blind date. Interestingly, their relationship worked out and the couple continued their relationship for the next two years. After that, Ko decided to propose to Chung in her unique “golf” way.

While talking about the proposal she said “So I did it very golf-like. I wrote on golf balls, ‘Will you marry me?’” on golf balls. The last one had room for him to circle “yes” or “no”. ” Chung accepted the golfer’s proposal and they tied the knot at the Myeongdong Cathedral in Seoul, South Korea, on December 30, 2022. Lydia Ko now describes a “good luck charm,” and both of them are living together happily.
