Paige Spiranac Mocks Her Own Competitive Return as PGA Tour Welcomes Fresh Batch of ‘Online’ Pros: ‘Never Seen Before’
Bryson DeChambeau might be disappointed right about now. But he can find consolation in the fact that his friend is playing at the upcoming Creator Classic presented by Blackstone. Yes, it’s none other than Paige Spiranac, who has been invited to the nine-hole event among 15 other content creators. And the Golf Queen has gone ahead to dish out a hilarious take on the whole event that she is taking part in.
A video was shared by the Jay Monahan-led circuit on its Instagram handle while “introducing the full field for the Creator Classic.” It showcased snippets of each of the 16 athletes, including Spiranac, Tyler Toney, Garrett Clark, Brad Dalke, Sean Walsh, Fat Perez, Roger Steele, Wesley Bryan, George Bryan, Micah Morris, Peter Finch, Luke Kwon, Aimee Cho, Mac Boucher, Gabby Golf Girl, and Mason Nutt.
Just three hours after the video was posted on the circuit’s social media handle, the golfing influencer with more than 4 million followers took to the post to hilariously comment under the same. “It’ll be fun,” wrote the 31-year-old Paige Spiranac, “to show the people watching parts of the golf course the pros have never seen before.”
Although she decided to put on her funny cap as soon as the video was posted, she did express her excitement to play at the event that is set to take place ahead of the TOUR Championship. “So excited to be playing!” exclaimed the female golfer before urging her fans anxiously, “Wish me luck lol I’m nervous.”
Meanwhile, her friend and LIV Golf Pro Bryson DeChambeau had, back on July 31, tweeted about the upcoming event. “I’m waiting for my invite to the Creator Classic @PGATOUR,” wrote the ‘Scientist’ on his X handle while hilariously hoping for the men’s circuit to send him an invite to the same. However, curiosity naturally arises about the exciting matchup that will take place ahead of the season finale!
What is the Creator Classic that Paige Spiranac will be teeing off at?
16 of the most popular content creators will tee off ahead of the FedEx Cup season finale, the TOUR Championship, which is set to kick off on August 29. They will be doing so at the newly restored back-nine at the East Lake Course in an event that the PGA Tour, alongside Pro Shop, will conduct on August 28, Wednesday.
The interesting and exciting matchup will be broadcast on the likes of the PGA Tour YouTube channel, Peacock, and ESPN+. It can also be caught on various streaming platforms, including PlutoTV, Roku, Samsung TV Plus, Tubi, and XUMO. The event will consist of a strokeplay format for the first eight holes. As for the ninth, the top four in the standings will tee off against each other in a playoff to find out who is the champion amongst themselves. Will Paige Spiranac claim the inaugural Creator Classic title? Her fans will certainly hope so!
