On August 12, the 31-year-old and his wife, Annie Verret, presented a check for $500,000 from the Jordan Spieth Family Foundation to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital. He donated the funds that will be set aside for cancer research despite raking in just over $2,691,991 from the 2024 PGA Tour season, owing to his finishes.

It is truly a stark contrast when compared to Scottie Scheffler, who is at the top of the season’s earnings with a mind-boggling $28,148,691. On the other hand, the 3-time major champ is placed at T56 on the season’s earnings list, courtesy of the 13 cuts he made, including the three top-10 finishes from the 21 starts this season. His best placement came during the 2024 Sentry when the professional carded a T3 finish at the Kapalua Plantation Course while earning $1,360,000.
He did so by registering a score of 27-under overall with figures of 66-67-67-65 over the four days of play. Jordan Spieth is currently projected to be placed in the 63rd position on the 2024 FedEx Cup standings after the recently ended Wyndham Championship.
He will need to up his game if the professional is to make the field at the upcoming BMW Championship (top 50) and the TOUR Championship (top 30). Besides, the athlete had even failed to leave a mark at the event at Sedgefield Country Club, with a missed cut at the final event of the 2024 PGA Tour season. Something didn’t stop him from making a donation to his foundation.

The 31-year-old and his family founded the charitable organization, the Jordan Spieth Family Foundation, back in the fall of 2014. Since then, it has helped assist various sections of society that need his help, namely, “individuals with special needs, junior golf, military families and veterans, and pediatric cancer.” And now, the athlete has left a mark on society as per the fourth philanthropic act by offering direct care for children fighting cancer.
What’s more, the upcoming FedEx Cup playoffs partnering itself with the St. Jude Children’s Hospital made it all the easier to provide support for the research on the deadly disease. Well, it seems Jordan Spieth will remain a winner to many despite not raking in any victories in 2024.
