‘Literally Perfect’: Sizzling Nelly Korda Update Helps Fans Forget Recent Snubs As Croatia Erases Past Wounds

Even Champions need their time to recharge. This is what Nelly Korda’s recent performances have been screaming. Despite kickstarting the season with exceptional accolades, the 25-year-old has not been having a great time for the past two months. She missed back-to-back cuts at the U.S. Women’s Open, the Meijer LPGA Classic, and the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.

Last weekend, as she participated at the Amundi Evian Championship, Korda landed herself with a T26 finish at 5-under 279. She will next be seen at the Olympic Games in Paris, France, defending her gold medal. This gives her a break from her hectic golfing schedule, and the No. 1 player on the LPGA Tour grabbed the opportunity to rejuvenate herself! When Nelly Korda completed the final round of the Amundi Evian Championship in France, she hopped on a flight not to Sylvania for the Dana Open, but to Croatia to enjoy a much-needed vacation with her best friend Klara Mrčela. She has been posting pictures from her trip on her official Instagram account.

A few hours ago, Korda shared snippets of her trip from the first few days. She enjoyed being on a yacht, swimming through the vacation, and exploring the streets of Croatia. She hasn’t indeed looked this happy for a long time. She even captioned the picture, “From Croatia with love ❤️ Trip of a lifetime with my BFFL @klaramrcela”.

NUCLRGOLF took to their official X (formerly Twitter) account and shared a few pictures from the vacation from the flat plains near the Hungarian border and wrote, “#EUROPEAN SUMMER (part 2) — LPGA superstar Nelly Korda is having “the trip of a lifetime” with her besties in Croatia @NellyLegion”

While the fans were not very happy about the recent performances that she had been giving on the tour, their hearts melted as they saw her having fun on the trip with her friends.

The Golf Community dubs Nelly Korda as ‘The GOAT’
Nelly Korda took a break by withdrawing from the London leg of the Aramaco Team Series at the end of June after being bitten by a dog, requiring time for treatment and recovery. She returned to the French greens for the fourth major of the season. However, finishing below the top-25 list is something that golf enthusiasts don’t expect from the World No. 1 but surely it’s better than missing a cut. Hoping that there is more progress at the Olympics after this game, her fans appreciated her taking the trip to Croatia. They left comments like, “Hey Nelly. Glad to see you having fun” and “Wonderful trip!”

Nelly Korda looked gorgeous. She wore a casual black-and-white striped dress on the first day, an exceptionally stunning all-black outfit on the second, and a blue bikini on the yacht. It was especially the blue outfit that stole the attention of her fans. Taking to this, one of them even left a rather cheesy comment, “IG had issues processing this much beauty in one post…. ”. While another stated, “You are literally perfect”.

Nelly Korda had indeed given out one of the best runs in the history of LPGA this year. After winning the Chevron Championship with a 9-under 284, she jumped into the pond nest to Carlton Woods’ 18th green. The stroke win in Texas made her a part of the record-breaking trio. Apart from Nancy Lopez, and Annika Sorenstam, she became the only LPGA player to win five tournaments back-to-back. Taking to this, one of her fans simply dubbed her, “The goat!”

Apart from the terrible performances that she has had in the last four tournaments that she took part in, she has indeed had a good run in 2024. Even after her five wins, as she landed herself in T7 at the Cognizant Founders Cup, she rose back to victory, taking the first spot again at the Mizuho Americas Open. This only suggests that Nelly Korda does indeed have the capacity to go back to where she started. Trying to cheer her up and motivate her, one of them simply commented, “ Way to go Champ”.

Now the question is, will the vacation help her heal from the wound that she has been receiving since May? Or will she come back with just a little improvement like last month? Do you think Nelly Korda will be able to defend her medal in France? Let us know in the comments section below!
