The world’s No. 1 rated golfer, Scottie Scheffler, recently went viral for his vacation photos during the Fourth of July. The 28-year-old superstar was seen in Telluride, Colorado, sharing some family pictures from his time off. Despite being on vacation, Scheffler posted a couple of photos of himself on the golf course. The pro golfer flicked up around one of the holes on the links and was also photographed at the driving range.
“Escaped the heat for the 4th,” Scheffler said.
Scheffler also shared a few photos of his wife, Meredith, and two-month-old son, Bennett. His post has over 730 comments and 303k likes, just over 24 hours into its release. The last time Scheffler was seen on the greens, he took home the Travelers Championship $3.6 million purse. During the 2024 PGA Tour season, he had six PGA Tour victories before July 1, joining Arnold Palmer as the only two golfers to achieve that feat.
While the Scottish Open on July 11 was on Scheffler’s initial PGA Tour schedule, he withdrew his name days before the tournament. The next tournament on his schedule is “The Open” on July 18, featuring a $16.5 million purse.
