Lisa Marie Presley’s daughter Riley Keough shares last photo of them together before tragic death

Lisa Marie Presley’s daughter Riley Keough has paid tribute to the late star by sharing a photo of the last time they were together. Presley died aged 54 on January 12 after going into cardiac arrest at her home. On Tuesday, Keough took to Instagram to post the snap of her sitting with Presley at a restaurant.

Both are smiling as they lean towards each other and smile for the camera. Presley dressed in a sleek black suit and Keough in a grey crop top and skirt. The 33-year-old actress, who didn’t say how long the photo was taken before her mother’s recent death, captioned the snap: “I feel blessed to have a photo of the last time I saw my beautiful mama. Grateful…”

Instead, her husband Ben Smith-Petersen stepped up to do the reading in her place.

During his speech, the Australian stuntman revealed that he and Keough had recently welcomed their first child, a daughter.

“I hope I can love my daughter the way you loved me, the way you loved my brother and my sisters,” Keough wrote, after being spotted a day earlier carrying a baby into her late grandfather Elvis’ home, Graceland.

“I remember you driving me in my car seat playing Aretha Franklin. I remember the feeling I’d get when you picked me up from school.

“Thank you for showing me that love is the only thing that matters in this world,” she continued before acknowledging that her brother Benjamin Keough – who died by suicide in 2020 – and Keough’s half-sisters are “products of” her late mother’s heart.

She concluded: “We are you, you are us. Thank you for trying so hard for all of us.”

Presley’s mother Priscilla Presley also paid tribute to her daughter with a poem that she attributed to one of her granddaughters.

The ex-wife of Elvis Presley added: “Our hearts are broken. Lisa, we all love you.”
