Emma Raducanu leaves and blocks billionaire boyfriend

British tennis star Emma Raducanu and Carlo Agostinelli have reportedly gone their separate ways, with the 2021 US Open champion reportedly “blocking” her billionaire boyfriend on social media. In the first part of 2023, there were strong rumors indicating that Raducanu was dating Agostinelli – son of an American-Italian billionaire financier Robert Agostinelli. After undergoing surgeries on both wrists and her right ankle, Raducanu was spotted spending time with Agostinelli and even going on a vacation to Greece.

In the next couple of months, that continued – and at that point – there was little to no doubt that Raducanu and Agostinelli were definitely a thing.

But lately, Raducanu and Agostinelli haven’t been spotted or pictured together – and apparently, there is a good reason why.

“Emma has 2.4million followers on Instagram but Carlo is no longer one of them. It seems their relationship has run its course,” a source told The Sun.

What Raducanu recently said about her ‘pushy parents being against boyfriends’
Raducanu, who will be turning 22 in November, recently opened up on how her parents wanted her to become successful in life. From her early days, Raducanu was focused on school and tennis and her parents were the driving force behind that because the belief all along was that one day that would pay off.

When sharing that, Raducanu admitted her parents weren’t probably the easiest but added she was extremely grateful to them because not having lenient parents helped her. “At the start my dad forced me into tennis. I didn’t like it, but then as I got older and tennis became more of a priority I was pushing myself,” Raducanu told The Times in May.

“They are so pushy. When I was younger more so. Now they are at a place where they tell me what they think is best, but they realize ultimately that the more they push the more I am going to resist. “I’ve seen some great people who I was playing with in the juniors who had way more lenient parents, who were like, ‘It’s OK if you lost”, and those players don’t play tennis anymore, so I don’t blame my parents for it.”

In the same interview, Raducanu revealed that having boyfriends at the time wasn’t an option.
“My parents were very much against that (boyfriends) as it interfered with training,” Raducanu added. “When I was younger I wasn’t even allowed to hang out with my girlfriends. A lot of the time I was very resentful. But it made me very confident and comfortable in my own company, which is also a big strength.”

What is Raducanu’s plan for the upcoming period?
Since returning to tennis at the start of the 2024 season, Raducanu has appeared in seven tournaments. While Raducanu has managed to stay healthy and avoid any serious setbacks, a bit surprisingly she hasn’t played since suffering a first-round loss in Madrid in late April.
After kicking off her clay season in Stuttgart and also playing in Madrid, Raducanu was certainly targeting to also play in Rome and the French Open. But after the Rome Open and French Open didn’t give Raducanu a main draw wildcard, she didn’t want to play in qualifying and skipped both tournaments.

Raducanu’s French Open qualifying withdrawal raised some concerns but the Briton quickly shut them down after revealing in a statement she was doing so to focus on the grass season.
“It’s important for me to keep laying on the foundations and I will use the time to do a healthy block before the grass and subsequent hard court seasons to give myself a chance to keep fit for the rest of the year,” Raducanu said in a statement.

After launching her preparations for the grass season very early, Raducanu dropped a bombshell Wimbledon statement – according to the 21-year-old British tennis star, it is just a matter of time before she lifts a title at The Championships. “I feel good. I’m playing well and I’m training really hard, I’m doing a lot of good things and I know it’s going to happen. If not this Wimbledon, the next Wimbledon,” Raducanu told Grazia.

“I fully back myself and trust myself. It’s just a matter of when really. I’ve been doing all the right things so I’m just looking forward to playing in front of a home crowd.”

Meanwhile, Raducanu is slated to open her grass season at this week’s WTA 250 tournament in Nottingham, where she faces a qualifier in the first round.
