American Legend Chris Evert Pens Down Emotional Note to Celebrate Grandson’s Arrival to Their Family
It is time for Chris Evert to perform a new role! Apart from being a successful tennis player, this former world’s number one WTA star’s personal life has been headline content for a long. Mother to three children, Evert gets to celebrate another epic moment in her life as she embraces a new family member as his son “Nicky and his wife Rebecca welcomed their first child.”
A few hours back, Chris Evert took to her official Twitter to share the news of a newborn family member with the fraternity. Evert announced that her son and daughter-in-law have given birth to a beautiful baby, making him a proud grandmother. “My son Nicky and his wife Rebecca welcomed their first child, Hayden James into this world last nite..Thanks for bringing more love into our family; so proud of you two..” – she wrote, sharing an adorable photo of her with the mother and the baby.
This 18 Grand Slam winner has been married thrice but she had all of her three sons from her second marriage with Andy Mill. Their eldest is Alexander Mill, then her second child is Nicholas Mill and the youngest one is Colton Jack Mill. Nicholas Mill married his partner, Rebecca last year.
Despite showing initial interest in tennis, none of Evert’s children took up tennis professionally. Although the trio played the sport in high school, they never felt interested in being a part of the ATP tour’s grind.
However, this former WTA star’s kids often accompany her mother to various places. Earlier this year, Evert shared a healthy workout session with her eldest son on the tennis court. “Out for a little workout with my eldest…He whipped my butt” -wrote Evert on Instagram with an adorable selfie of the mother-son duo.
Evert, whose private life’s glamour at times overshadowed her professional success, seemed delighted being a grandmother. After battling with cancer for two years, this was a much-needed breeze of peace and happiness for the former tennis legend.
