Australian golfer Norman and American tennis star Evert, both 53, were expected to tie the knot at a sunset ceremony on a private beach on Paradise Island.

But the couple, who are reported to have sold the wedding rights, have switched to a nearby fenced off area, to avoid media attention.

Following a year-long legal battle, during which Norman reportedly cancelled Andrassy’s credit cards and changed the locks to their £18million Florida mansion, he agreed to a divorce settlement of £50million.

Ms Andrassy recently refused to send her best wishes to Norman and Evert.

She said: ‘I have no wishes for them except to say they deserve each other.’

Norman has two adult children, while Evert has three sons.
