‘Greg Needs to Take Accountability’: After their Rough Split, Chris Evert Once Took Down Ex-Husband Greg Norman For Not Taking ‘Accountability’ of their Divorce

Greg Norman has been happily married to Kirsten Kutner since 2010. But his marriage with the tennis star Chris Evert was the talk of the town for all the wrong reasons. However, Evert finally opened up about her marriage and problems in 2010. She revealed the mistakes that ended her marriage with LIV’s CEO only 15 months after the wedding ceremony.

Norman ended the matrimony with Laura Andrassy in 2007 and married Evert in 2008. The ex-husband of the tennis star, Andy Mill was not stoked about their relationship. To everyone’s surprise, the former skier, Mill, accused his best friend, Norman, of ruining his marriage of 18 years with Evert in 2007. The split between Norman and Evert happened because their marriage was “irretrievably broken.” However, in 2010, everyone knew the exact reasons.

Why did things between Greg Norman and Chris Evert end?
When they married in 2008, fans were happy to see Norman and Evert together. They considered the duo a power couple and were looking forward to their relationship. However, it drastically ended in September 2009, leaving all the fans in shock. Later in 2010, the Tennis legend, Evert, spoke up about her matrimonial differences with her former husband.

According to Evert, she never expected such an end to her marriage with the pro golfer. However, she revealed why they had to separate. Guilt played an essential role in the splitting up of the couple. “I still had an enormous amount of guilt, I brought that into my marriage with Greg, and I allowed it to have an effect,” said Evert. The split with her ex-husband Andy Mill ate her from the inside as she ended their relationship and married Norman. The guilt affected her marriage adversely and led it to conclude.

However, the former couple had other differences. Evert wanted to stay on the ground and live an everyday life. In contrast, Norman wanted wings. He tried to fly and had high ambitions. And that is why the marriage ended. Evert also mentioned that the Major championship winner was not a responsible man. He never took responsibility for fulfilling the promises he once made. “Greg needs to take accountability for the promises he made and the way he left,” said Evert.

Was Evert dishonest?
In the end, the tennis legend accepted that she was a dishonest partner to her ex-husband. And the relationships, which are based on dishonesty, do not exist for a more extended time. It will always have a destructive impact on the current connection, which began with deception. She learned her lesson and said, “I’ve also learned, chances are, any relationship that starts out in a dishonest way is not going to work.”
