Fans Lose Their Cool as Riley Keough Revives Red Hair

The 'Under the Bridge' actress paired her new hairstyle with a sheer dress at the premiere of the new Hulu series.

Riley Keough’s red hair is back–and if fans have any say, it’s for good. The 34-year-old actress debuted the return of her warm-toned hair earlier this week, and fans have made the transformation viral by taking screenshots and reposting the image across social media.

“RED HAIR IS BACK PLEASE THIS IS NOT A DRILL,” one X (formerly Twitter) user exclaimed alongside the snap.

“OH MY GOD,” others echoed online, with a different fan declaring, “THANK GOD.”

Hours after fans’ reaction to the new ‘do began picking up momentum, Keough stepped out in Los Angeles for the premiere of her new Hulu drama Under the Bridge.

She paired the hot new hair color with an equally flattering ensemble that consisted of a sheer black long-sleeve midi gown and open-toe pumps. A silky bralette and briefs could be seen peaking underneath the tulle-like overlay. For the event, her hair was styled in slight waves for an effortless look. She also wore a rosy pink hue matte lipstick and matching blush to add a pop of color to her glam.

Before Monday’s big premiere, Keough had dyed her hair a much darker–almost black–shade that was very reminiscent of her grandfather Elvis Presley’s coloring.

Though the color suited her well, fans are clearly very happy to see her revive the reddish-brown tone that they’ve come to love so dearly. As for her new Hulu project, a description of the miniseries reads: “Reena Virk, a fourteen-year-old girl, went to join friends at a party and never returned home. Seven teenage girls and a boy were accused of the savage murder.” The miniseries is based on Rebecca Godfrey’s book based on the 1997 murder of Reena Virk and also stars Lily Gladstone (Billions, Killers of the Flower Moon), Archie Panjabi (The Good Wife and San Andreas), Matt Craven (A Few Good Men and X-Men: First Class), Anoop Desai (What We Do in the Shadows), Michael Buie (Bombshell and Mystery, Alaska) Javon Walton (Euphoria and The Umbrella Academy), as well as many others.
