Elvis’ child Lisa Marie Presley appeared as angel in clouds on day she died says brother
Lisa Marie Presley's half-brother Navarone Garibaldi Garcia has opened up about his grieving process since she died in January 2023.
Elvis’ daughter Lisa Marie Presley looked like an angel in the sky when she died, her brother says. Navarone Garibaldi Garcia, who is Lisa’s half-brother and son of Priscilla Presley, shared that they didn’t always get along before Lisa passed away at 54 from a heart attack in January 2023.
Navarone, who sings in the rock band Them Guns, told about the sad day to the Daily Star: “When she died I was out of town and my mom phoned and said, ‘You need to come to the hospital right now’. “By the time I got there she had passed. It is a crazy thing because someone sent me a picture that day of the clouds in the sky and there are clearly clouds that are in the shape of my sister as an angel.”
Even though Navarone and Lisa Marie were almost 20 years apart, they both had tough times. Navarone talked in 2023 about how they would fight because he smoked weed and she drank. Now, he’s close to his nieces, including actress Riley Keough. Speaking about their relationship, he said: “There was an article saying I don’t miss my sister, that was really painful. I still love her very much. The times we had together were good times and I do miss her.”
Navarone has always credited Priscilla got getting him out of dark times, explaining: “My mum has always been by my side because she’s so positive, so strong, always gives advice and always looks at positives. “Going through depression, my mum was a great help to me. It’s always been a challenge because I wanted to make my way in the music industry, where everyone is always comparing me to Elvis.”
Tragedies have led some people to believe that the Presley family may be cursed. Elvis died at just 42-years-old in 1977. Sadly, in 2020, Lisa Marie’s son Benjamin took his own life at only 27. Just weeks before his sudden death, Navarone had a frightening encounter with a camel. He remembers: “I had a near-death experience which left my mum very traumatized. She’s paranoid because she watches a lot of crime shows.
“I was in an animal sanctuary with my mum and they let me into the cage to feed the camels rescued from a circus. It grabbed my hand, threw me to the ground and jumped on top of me and bit me I needed 34 stitches in my hand.
“Last year for us has been very stressful with the passing of my sister and other bad stuff that came along with that. “I’m trying to take time to heal myself mentally and make the music I want to.”
