Emily Ratajkowski Puts a Springtime Twist on the Oversize Suit Look
Back on her dog-walking style streak
An oversize suit? For spring? Groundbreaking. While the perfect unison of a too-large blazer and baggy trousers will never go out of style, a bulky suit is not necessarily the outfit that comes to mind when you’re dressing for a 70-degree day in New York City. Emily Ratajkowski proved that assumption wrong, however, with her latest springtime fit.
The model and My Body author was spotted walking her dog, Colombo, out in the city today in a sleek beige blazer so oversize, she had to scrunch it up at the sleeves. She paired the outerwear with some slouchy black suit pants, which bunched up at her heels. But the piece that made the suit look work for the warm weather was a simple white triangle T-shirt made out of classic white cotton. (Similar triangle tops are available at Revolve.)
EmRata wrapped up her off-duty look with black Puma Palermo sneakers—an It shoe made for an It girl—tortoiseshell eyeglasses, and gold hoop earrings. She was also photographed wearing black headphones.
Ratajkowski showcases some of her best fashion during her dog walks. Last summer, she debuted another pair of Puma Palermos—in teal and pink–with a skintight pink minidress embellished with red lace and a bold red-rose print, from Guizio. And on another occasion, she stepped out with Colombo in a bright turquoise knit collared top paired with black short shorts and white sneakers; she accessorized that look with a black Balenciaga shoulder bag and black rectangular sunglasses from the Row.
