Brooke among 18 of Top-25 in elite international field this week at Fir Hills Seri Pak Championship
Brooke Henderson joins World Golf Hall-of-Fame member Seri Pak as she makes her return to the LPGA Tour this week as tournament host for the newly renamed FIR HILLS SERI PAK Championship, taking place at Palos Verdes Golf Club in Palos Verdes Estates, CA, March 18-24. The championship will feature an elite international field of 144 players representing 28 countries worldwide that includes current and former World No. 1 players and multiple major champions.
Henderson enters the event ranked 12th in the Rolex Ranking and fifth in the CME Ranking.
The Canadian has started the 2024 season well having finished S3 in the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions ($120,174), T16 in the LPGA Drive On Championship ($21,585), T9 in the Honda LPGA Thailand ($34,100) and T3 in the HSBC Women’s World Championship ($89,471).
Pak, one of the most decorated professional golfers in history from the Republic of Korea amassed 39 professional victories worldwide, is a pioneer in the world of golf and an inspiration for generations of LPGA Tour players from the Republic of Korea. She will be on-site at Palos Verdes Golf Club all week as tournament host.
The other 17 of the top-25 players in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings who are in the field with Henderson are World No. 1 and Los Angeles-area resident Lilia Vu, Nelly Korda (2), defending champion Ruoning Yin (4), Charley Hull (7), Hyo Joo Kim (9), Xiyu Lin (100), Megan Khang (13), Allisen Corpuz (14), Nasa Hataoka (15), Hannah Green (17), sponsor exemption Jiyai Shin (18), Alison Lee (19), Ayaka Furue (20), Leona Maguire (21), Rose Zhang (22), Patty Tavatanakit (23) and Yuka Saso (25).
The full tournament field will consist of 144 of the world’s best female professional golfers competing in the 72-hole event for a share of the elevated $2 million US purse.
