‘Coolest week of my life’: Steve Stricker’s daughter Izzi gets hug from Tiger Woods, praise from her idol at PNC Championship
It’s been the year of the Strickers in Wisconsin golf. It was only fitting that 2023 ended with the whole family together. Wisconsin native Steve Stricker teamed with his youngest daughter, Izzi, at the PNC Championship over the weekend at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando, Florida. Stricker’s wife, Nicki, and oldest daughter, Bobbi, were their caddies. “What a special week!” Steve Stricker tweeted after the tournament, in which he and Izzi finished in 10th place with a score of 128 after a pair of 64s in the scramble format.
The event began in 1995 as a father/son challenge and has evolved over the years. But one thing that has stayed the same is that it’s all about family. The tournament in 2023 included a list of legends from the PGA and LPGA tours from the likes of Lee Trevino to Tiger Woods, Bernhard Langer and Annika Sorenstam.
Add in their children, who are all pretty good as well, and it’s become a must-see event on the golf calendar every year.
